Adin is a writer and journalist in Washington, DC. He has previously served in government affairs, analysis, and media relations roles within private firms, non-profit organizations, and for government officials. He currently serves as the president of the Military Writers Guild, an international network of service members, veterans, civilian analysts, and writers dedicated to heightening discourse through military and war writing.
His reporting, analysis, and essays have appeared in publications like The Atlantic, Foreign Policy, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. Dobkin has taken part in events and in interviews/panel discussions on building critical thinking capabilities in the military and defense communities as well as the use of online platforms by these groups. In communications roles, Adin has managed national tours, internationally-recognized policy campaigns, and global coalitions. He also has experience in hosting and producing audio programs and podcasts.
Adin’s formal schooling is in economics, with a particular focus on the hard sciences portion of the field. Volunteer experience includes serving on the panel for a series of scholarships and fellowships for the National Press Club and as a co-organizer for Defense Entrepreneurs Forum events.
